Open World 2015

I did very well in academics. I got the citizen ship award for my 9th grade year, and placed first or second in many of my classes finishing the year with headmasters.

This year (10th grade), I got first in Computer Science, Algebra ll, Honors English Literature, and World History. I got second in Biology and Spanish l. I also received Headmaster's List, the Extra Mile Award, and an award for the highest average in my class.

In computer class, we created apps that matter (MAD Learn). Out of 19 apps created, mine made it to the top five. I, as quality assurance manager, made sure everything was in order and made the script for our presentation. Our app ended up finishing second.

Two years ago, I was doing what I love most: barrel racing. My horse Rebel and I qualified for the World Championships in 2015. There were people from all over: France, Austrailia, Canada, and many places in the United States. Out of about 1000 people, I happened to place for the finals! I was so happy because I know that some people never get to the finals, and I get into the finals my first year! You could feel the tension in the air and I was very nervous. Although I was anxious, Rebel and I ran our fastest time ever. With hard work and a little luck, we placed third in the third division in the finals. I will never forget that feeling! The last rider placed me perfectly, and I am so happy I got to achieve that goal.

Since that day, I have qualified for the World finals three more times. I am so blessed to have an amazing family to support me and my dreams!
