Community Service

I helped with the Equine Special Olympics state show in Georgia. I had a lot of fun volunteering and getting to know some of the kids. I knew how to help them with riding and controlling the horse because of all my past experience. In the opening ceremonies, Meagan and I barrel raced and the kids loved us for the rest of the weekend! I got a taste of fame just doing what makes me happy. Although this was great, helping the special needs was the real highlight of that weekend. I hope I can do it again soon!

Tornado Help

I live in South Georgia, and we have had many tornadoes come through our area. It has devastated many people's homes. The electricity was gone for days or even weeks. Our community needed help, and we stepped up to the plate. My class made sandwiches for an hour for the workers that were fixing the power lines. My teacher also gave us the opportunity to go to some of the places that got hit and give them water. I volunteered and I am so glad I got to help others in need.
